چکیده
Abstract Sugarcane is one of the important plantation commodities that widely cultivated in Indonesia as a raw material for sugar industry. One type land commonly used sugarcane cultivation sandy soil, however, this soil has shortcomings due to nutrients availability which affects productivity sugarcane. This study aims determine limiting factor through Leaf Sampling Unit (LSU) analysis. Foliar nutrient levels Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), Potassium (K), Calcium (Ca), and Magnesium (Mg) were determined. The parameters plant growth observed included stalk height, diameter, number internodes per stalk, green leaves, clump, fresh weight, productivity. Data analyzed using correlation descriptive tests. LSU analysis indicated N Ca under sufficient conditions, at 1.98% 0.33%, respectively. Meanwhile, P, K, Mg critical condition, with values 0.03%, 0.09%, 0.12%, stem diameter had (r=0.985). Increasing dose fertilizers, especially needed overcome these deficiency conditions; thus can be optimized sustainable.

Tissue Culture Strategies in Sugarcane (saccharum Officinarum L.)
Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) has wide range of economic importance due to its major and by-products. Seed multiplication of newly released varieties of sugarcane is one of the major constraints. Once a desired clone is identified, it usually takes 6-7 years to produce sufficient quality of improved seed material. This long duration causes a major bottleneck in breeding programmes. For t...

Pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) composed of two functionally-connected phases, the oxidative and non-oxidative phase. Both phases catalysed by a series of enzymes. Transketolase is one of key enzymes of non-oxidative phase in which transfer two carbon units from fructose-6-phosphate to erythrose-4-phosphate and convert glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate to xylulose-5-phosphate. In plant, erythrose-4-ph...

Identify the indices of leaf growth and development and study of phyllochron in commercial cultivars of sugarcane with the aim of better management of agricultural practices is very important. A field experiment was conducted in Amir Kabir Agroindustry in the south of Khuzestan, Iran in 2015-16 in randomized complete block design with three replications. The sugarcane cultivars included; CP69-1...

Combining ability variances and effects were estimated for important agronomic and biochemical traits in sugarcane using line x tester mating design. Five commercially grown varieties and one line from germplasm collection were involved in this study of which three were used as females (lines) and three as males (testers). The six agronomic characters studied were number of millable stalk per s...

Commercial sugarcane hybrid cultivars currently in production are high-yielding, disease-resistant, millable canes and are the result of years of breeding work. In Hawaii, these commercial hybrids are quite distinct from many Saccharum officinarum canes still in existence that were brought to the islands and cultivated by the native Polynesians. The actual genetic relationships among the native...
